Brunei Darussalam is a fascinating land of many charms and natural beauty. The country made an astounding leap to prosperity over the last quarter of a century. Visitor to Brunei are able to see numerous on-going infrastructural projects reflecting rapid internal development currently in progress. One of the best ways to get to know Brunei is to drive from the capital by car to Belait town at the western end, passing through the oil producing area of the country. The more adventurous could take a boat trip to Temburong, the eastern split-half district,meandering through riverine byways and part of the Brunei Bay against a backdrop of mangroves, tropical rainforest and traditional river-bank settlements.
